Education does not end upon completion of your Open Water Certification. We offer a full spectrum of specialty courses for divers of all experience levels. These courses provide exceptional education in the form of books and lectures followed by instructor led dives. Whether you are looking to get certified in how to properly use your Dry Suit in these chilly San Diego waters or how to explore wrecks in the world famous Wreck Alley off the coast of Mission Bay we can provide you the proper instruction to help you stay safe and get the most out of the experience.
The primary goal of any SSI Specialty course is to teach you important skills in a fun environment. All courses are taught using home study, short academic sessions, and in-water training
SSI Specialty Diver
SSI’s intermediate diver rating is higher than any other agency’s advanced courses. To earn the certification for Specialty Diver, you must complete 2 specialty courses and have done a total of 12 dives.
SSI Advanced Open Water Diver
SSI’s Advanced Diver rating stands alone in the industry with the highest combination of diving knowledge and experience. No other agency’s advanced diver level compares. To earn the certification for Advanced Open Water Diver, you must complete 4 specialty courses and have done a total of 24 dives.
SSI Master Diver
SSI’s Master Diver rating is one of the most elite ratings in diving today. Divers that have completed this level have combined the knowledge, skills and experience to truly call themselves Master Divers. To earn the certification for Master Diver, you must complete 5 specialty courses, Diver Stress&Rescue and have done a total of 50 dives.
